KORN NORTH AMERICA TOUR 2024
The Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix, Arizona was ablaze on the sweltering night of October 3rd, 2024, as Korn celebrated three decades of their groundbreaking self-titled album with a sold-out crowd.
Opening the night were French metal titans Gojira, riding high on the wave of their acclaimed performance at the Olympics opening ceremony. Their set was a powerful display of intricate riffs and thunderous drumming, highlighted by tracks like “Backbone,” “Flying Whales,” and “Amazonia.” The band’s energy was infectious, and the pyrotechnics that punctuated their performance set the stage for an explosive night.
Korn’s arrival was met with a roar of excitement, and they wasted no time igniting the crowd with the ferocious “Here To Stay.” The setlist was a masterful blend of classic anthems and newer material, ensuring that both longtime fans and newcomers were fully engaged. Early hits like “Clown,” “Shoots and Ladders,” and “Ball Tongue” transported the audience back to the 90s, while newer tracks kept the energy surging forward. The band’s performance was a testament to their enduring legacy; thirty years on, they remain a force to be reckoned with. Jonathan Davis’s vocals were as raw and powerful as ever, while the dynamic interplay between guitarists Head and Munky was a sight to behold.
The night culminated in a euphoric rendition of “Freak On A Leash,” sending the crowd into a frenzy. Korn’s 30th anniversary show was a powerful reminder of their influence on the metal landscape, and a celebration of their enduring connection with fans. Here’s to another thirty years of groundbreaking music! KORN!!
