Interview with Melissa Wolfe

Interview with Melissa Wolfe, vocalist of the Metal Band SEPSISS

Twitter, Sepsiss Band, 9 April 2021, https://twitter.com/sepsissband.

1. What is the meaning of “Sepsiss”?

Melissa: We chose the name for many reasons: Google searchable,
but mostly we liked the stylized presentation and play of an actual
english word that fifteen other bands would spell correctly. Plus,
ownership and style.

2. How did the band come about? Tell me about the origins of the band

Melissa: Well, the band formed back in 2011 when I met William
Savant, guitarist/backup vocalist/composer. We met through
Craigslist believe it or not, since we were both searching to form a
band. Honestly, we’ve been through about 28+ band members in this
band (no joke). We just could not find the right lineup until now, that
is.

3. Were you the original vocalist of the band?

Melissa: Yes, I have been here from the beginning. I formed the band
with William Savant.

4. What were some of the musical influences of the band?

Melissa: For the band as a whole, some of our influences together
are bands like Axxis, Asking Alexandria, DragonForce, Pantera,
Alesana, Dio, and many more,

5. Is there a vocalist that you look up to or made you become one?
Melissa: It’s so hard to pick just one vocalist, but when it comes to
female fronted vocalists, some of my biggest influences are Amy Lee
of Evanescence, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and Simone Simmons of
Epica.

6. When the band is not playing or writing music, what does Sepsiss
likes to do for fun?

Melissa: We play a lot of video games. We have our own gaming
community on the Xbox, it is a Halo based community and we call it
“Immaculate Connection Gaming”. We like to pick on each other, and
we own a rap studio as well, The Toybox Studios.

7. So do you rap as well?

Melissa: No, Mr. Goodbarz is the rapper out of the band. He is the
keyboard player.

8. So is Xbox the only gaming console you guys like to game on?

Melissa: Yes currently, we might pick up the Nintendo Switch for our
next tour.

I would like to give a big Thank You to Melissa Wolfe, vocalist of
Sepsiss, for taking time out of her busy schedule to answer a few
questions about her and the band. We, at Universal Hellfire
Entertainment, wish Sepsiss the best in their future endeavors.
