PIXIES NORTH AMERICA 2023
On Monday, May 8th, 2023 in downtown Phoenix, Arizona the Pixies would perform at The Van Buren, which was a sold-out show.
This was my first time seeing the Pixies, and I could not wait for them to take the stage. I was excited to see Paz Lenchantin play bass again and rock that stage.
One thing I noticed as the night went on was how diverse the crowd was this night. There was people of all ages, parents with their kids, teenagers, and even some older people. It is great to see the music community come together and enjoy a great night of live music.
There is an amazing feeling of seeing live music, and music from a CD or a streaming service will never replace that.
The Pixies finally took the stage at around 9 P.M., and as soon as they started playing the entire venue came to life and cheered for them. I hoped to hear the song “Here Comes Your Man”, but unfortunately they did not play it tonight.
The band played other notable hits like “St. Nazaire”, “Isla De Encanta”, “Hey”, “Ana”, and “Where Is My Mind?”.
I really enjoyed the show that night and I was glad to see the Pixies perform. I hope to catch them on tour again sometime in the future.
I wish them the best in their future endeavors.
