My name is Edgar Carranco, and I have been learning about cameras for the past six years. I always thought photography was a really hard job, and it is. You need to have a lot of dedication and practice just like everything else.
I started as a Sony Camera Expert at Best Buy late 2017, and since that day I have been learning a lot of about all of their different cameras and their features. But I really got into photography, even more, when Best Buy and Sony sent me to a week-long camera training in Colorado Springs, CO in June 2018.
I got to learn from Miguel Quiles Jr., Tony Gale and Paul Gero, three of the best Sony Artisan photographers. When I returned from the training my passion for photography grew immensely and hope to grow more as a photographer. A few months ago I started reaching out to bands that were scheduled to play in Phoenix, AZ and nearby areas. Most bands did allow me to take photos for them and I am extremely grateful for that. I also reached out to some to local models and I would like to give a big Thank You to Courtney Paige Laning because she has been helping me reach out to other models l.
I also would like to give a big Thank You to Adam Messler, Andrew Miller, Alisha DeCou and Kathleen Kaufman for helping me shoot more concerts and giving me advice on how to shoot shows. I hope to keep growing as a concert and model photographer, and hopefully expand my knowledge on other kinds of photography in the future.
The gear that I currently use is a Sony A7RM3, A9 and A7M3 full-frame cameras with a 24-70 f/2.8 GM, 70-200 f/2.8 GM, 16-35 f/2.8 GM and a 70-200 f/4 G lenses. Hope to get more camera bodies soon and few other lenses to help me reach my goals.
