THE ROSE DAWN TO DUSK US/CANADIAN TOUR 2023
On November 10, 2023, The Rose, an indie-rock band from South Korea would play a packed house at The Arizona Financial Theater in Phoenix, Arizona.
This was their second to last date on their Dawn To Dusk US/Canadian Tour. My history with the band before tonight was minimal as I had only heard two of their songs. I had heard from some close friends and family that they put one amazing, so I decided to check them out.
The band opened with the song “Eclipse” taken from their latest record “DUAL”. As soon as their vocalist/guitarist Kim Woo-Sung started singing, the roar of the crowd was something unbelievable. The band’s fan base is something I have not seen in a long time.
It was nice to hear all four of the band members sing, and all of them play instruments. The band would play songs from their entire discography such as You’re Beautiful, RED, Alive, Cure, Cosmo, and Wonder. When the band played their hit single Back To Me, everyone in the theater started singing along so loud you could not hear the band. The band would refer to their fans as Black Rose, which is not something uncommon for bands to do.
The audience also had a wand that lit up with a black rose inside it that would light up the entire theater while the band was performing their songs. I was glad to see this concert and would recommend anyone to check the band out if they have the chance to do so.
I wish them the best in their future endeavors and hope to see them again soon.
