DESTROY ALL ENEMIES TOUR 2024

Despite muggy, windy weather causing a slight delay, the “Destroy All Enemies” tour brought a powerful night of heavy metal to Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre on August 8th. The lineup, featuring All That Remains, Mudvayne, and the legendary Megadeth, had fans eagerly awaiting a sonic storm.

Despite the early hour and some lingering weather challenges, All That Remains delivered a solid set. Though some energy might have been lacking in the crowd, dedicated fans held the fort, keeping the spirit alive for the heavier hitters to come.

Mudvayne’s distinctive blend of heavy riffs and experimental sounds ignited the crowd. Their long-awaited come back clearly resonated with fans, proving their hiatus hadn’t dulled their edge. The band’s performance was tight and energetic, a perfect bridge between the opening act and the headliner.

The thrash titans, Megadeth, led by Dave Mustaine, commanded the stage with a setlist spanning their iconic career. Classic hits like “Hangar 18” and “Symphony of Destruction” had the entire amphitheater roaring, while newer material showcased the band’s enduring power. Despite the heat and humidity, Megadeth’s performance was relentless, leaving no doubt as to their status as metal legends.

Despite the muggy conditions, the “Destroy All Enemies” tour delivered a memorable night for Phoenix metalheads. Each band brought its unique energy, catering to a diverse crowd. Even though the early weather threatened to dampen the mood, the combined power of the lineup ensured the night ended in a triumphant celebration of heavy metal.
