KISS COVERAGE END OF THE ROAD TOUR 2021

SEPTEMBER 26 2021

YOU WANTED THE BEST, YOU GOT THE BEST!!

On this memorable night, September 26th, 2021, KISS played their rescheduled concert from the year before at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona.

This was my first time seeing KISS in concert and it truly was one of the best concerts I have seen since I started attending concerts twenty years ago.

My first big exposure to KISS was the movie “Detroit Rock City” that came out on August 13th, 1999. I truly became a big fan after watching that film because I went to my local record store and bought the movie soundtrack.

This is supposed to be KISS’ last tour, but I hope they play again here in Arizona. I would like to see them in February when they play in Las Vegas, Nevada one last time.

This memorable night KISS opened their show with the song “Detroit Rock City” while coming down from the rafters while pyrotechnics were going off behind them. Each band member had their platform playing their instrument until they got to the stage and stepped down.

As soon as they started playing the song the crowd got on their feet and started singing along with the band. Some other songs they played were “War Machine”, “Calling Dr. Love”, “Lick It Up”, and  “Psycho Circus”.  When the band started playing “God Of Thunder”, you saw Gene Simmons on top of a platform playing his bass, and then the platform went up slowly and he stayed up there for the entire song.

And of course later on they would play “Love Gun” and “I Was Made For Loving You”, which before the band started playing those songs lead singer Paul Stanley asked the crowd if they wanted him to go out with the fans. At that moment everyone in the venue went crazy and said “YES!” as loud as possible a couple of times before he went to the middle of the seating area where there was a small platform with microphones and started performing the songs.

KISS ended the night with the song that everyone knows them for, “Rock And Roll All Nite”, and of course, the venue exploded and the entire audience started singing the song along with the band. This was truly a night to remember and one I will never forget.  This is why KISS is one of the best bands in the world, they are LEGENDS and if indeed this is their last tour ever I wish them the best in their future endeavors.
