NICKELBACK “GET ROLLIN'” TOUR 2023

The time has come for Nickelback to perform at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Since this show was announced I have been looking forward to seeing them. They brought some special guests Josh Ross and Brantley Gilbert to help them bring down the house.

I was not familiar with either Josh Ross or Brantley Gilbert, but had heard really good things about both artists. It is really good to see bands bring artists of other music genres that are not the same as their own type.

I really like seeing the different types of fans it brings to the concert. This particular evening there were a lot of younger people including kids, which is always good to see.

I think it’s really funny to hear people talk so much hate towards Nickelback, but tonight everyone came out to support live music. I have been a fan since the release “The State” in 1999. Glad to see that they are still rocking and going strong.

Josh Ross was the night’s first performer, and I was pretty excited to see and hear him. When he came out and started playing country I was a bit surprised. I enjoyed the set he played and hope to see him tour with other rock bands in the future.

Brantley Gilbert was the second performer of the night. Also did not know what to expect from him but was excited to hear his music. He started playing this rock and country music mix of sound which was awesome to hear. I was surprised to hear a medley of covers such as Korn’s Blind and Godsmack’s Whatever. I could not believe what I was hearing but was extremely happy to hear that. Will definitely check out more of his music and would love to see him perform again in the future.

Finally, it was time for Nickelback to come out and play. They began their set with a new song from their latest album called “San Quentin”, and they got the fans roaring for more. Their set had songs spanning their entire discography such as “Animals”, “Hero” from the Spider-Man soundtrack, “Photograph”, “Rockstar” and “How You Remind Me”. Before they started playing “Rockstar” they brought a fan onstage who helped the band sing the song.

Nickelback puts on one of the best shows I have seen and hope to catch them again in the future. If you have not seen them in concert please go check them out. I wish them the best in their future endeavors.
