SUMMER OF LOUD 2025 – PHOENIX, AZ

What do you get when you mix 115-degree desert heat, a crowd of thousands, and some of the loudest, hardest-hitting bands in metalcore? The answer: an unforgettable night at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater in Phoenix, Arizona. Despite the scorching July 1st heat, the energy never dipped for a second. The Summer of Loud lived up to its name—and then some.
TX2 kicked things off with a jolt of high-octane energy. The crowd was already pouring in early and showed up ready to move. TX2 fed off that momentum, setting the tone for what was clearly going to be a relentless night.
Alpha Wolf took the stage next and didn’t waste a breath before launching into a punishing set. Their mix of groove-heavy riffs and snarling aggression had the pit churning—this wasn’t a warm-up act, it was a full-on assault.
Then came The Devil Wears Prada, and they brought the chaos to a whole new level. With a setlist that mixed fan favorites and newer cuts, the band delivered an emotionally charged performance that felt as intense as the heat radiating off the pavement.
The Amity Affliction followed with a powerful, melodic set that had the entire crowd singing along. Their sound cut through the thick desert air with clarity and emotion, haunting at times, and massive.
And then… Parkway Drive. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any bigger, Parkway brought literal fire. During “Crushed,” the drummer performed inside a spinning, flaming spinning cage while the rest of the band unloaded their heaviest hits. It was a moment that will be talked about for years.
I Prevail hit the stage and kept the fire (literally) burning, with a mix of hit songs and their signature dual-vocal assault, they kept the energy red-lining. Flames, breakdowns, and sing-alongs, it had everything.
Beartooth stormed into Phoenix with their trademark raw energy. They brought out “the snake,” a massive stage prop and a pyrotechnic-heavy performance that matched the desert’s inferno. Their anthems hit hard, and the crowd responded with deafening intensity.
Finally, Killswitch Engage took the stage to close out the night and the Summer of Loud. They proved why they’re legends in the genre. Classics like “This Fire” and “The End of Heartache” ignited the crowd one last time, while new tracks like “I Believe” and “Aftermath” showed the band is far from slowing down.
All in all, it was a blistering, fire-filled, neck-snapping night of metal that felt like the year’s summer show. Even with the Phoenix heat bearing down, not a single band held back and neither did the crowd.
