THE TRUTH 2 POWER – 4 DECADES OF ATTITUDE TOUR
If you went to see Ice Cube at Desert Diamond Arena on September 30th, 2025 thinking you were just gonna hear some music, you got a whole history lesson instead. You knew right away this wasn’t going to be just any concert.
He came out swinging, opening with “F*** tha Police,” and the whole place just exploded. The tone for the night was set right there.
Honestly, one of the coolest things was how he used the video screens. It wasn’t just random graphics; it was like he was walking us through his whole life story. We saw clips from the N.W.A. days, and it seriously felt like watching a live documentary. It was a really smart way to show how he got from there to here.
And the setlist was just insane. Hit after hit after hit. When he dropped classics like “Check Yo Self,” “No Vaseline,” and “Why We Thugs,” the energy was just off the hook. The whole crowd was on their feet, feeding it all right back to him. And Cube himself? His voice is still incredible. Seriously, he sounds just as powerful and clear as he did back in the day. Hasn’t lost a step at all.
But the highlight of the night, for me anyway, had to be the tribute. He brought out Lil Eazy-E to perform “Boyz-n-the-Hood,” and it was just WOW. Seeing Eazy-E’s son up there, honoring his dad with one of the most important rap songs ever, was a legit historic moment. So much respect for that.
From the raw power of “Straight Outta Compton” to the fun vibe of “Friday,” the whole night was just a perfect ride. It was way more than a concert; it was a celebration of a true legend. Hope he crushes the rest of the tour. You gotta see him if you get the chance.
