TOOL LIVE IN CONCERT 2024 – NIGHT 1
On Friday, February 9th, 2024, Tool took the stage at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona to a sold out crowd. This was the first night out of two the band would be performing in Arizona.
The band opened their set with their title song from the latest album, “Fear Inoculum”. The lead singer for the band Maynard James Keenan did tell the audience to put their phones away for the performance and said that if they can’t do that for about three hours there’s a big problem.
Personally I did put the phone away for the entire performance because I wanted to not have a distraction. If you end up going to see Tool in concert I will suggest not looking at your phones. The band’s performance is something you want to really experience and feel the music.
When you hear Maynard’s vocals plus you add the guitars from Adam Jones, the drumming from Danny Carey and the bass from Justin Chancellor it just immerses you into the music.
The band also had a big LED wall and some lasers that hit the ceiling that looked pretty awesome.
The band played six tracks from their latest release “Fear Inoculum”, among those played were “Chocolate Chip Trip”, “Pneuma”, “Culling Voices” and “Invincible”. Also played during their set were these other notable songs, “Jambi”, “Stinkfist” and “The Grudge”.
This night’s performance was one of the best performances I have seen. I cannot wait for Tool to come back to Arizona. If you have not seen the band in concert please try to go see them, you won’t regret it.
I wish the band and their entire road crew the best for their future endeavors.
