AQUA WORLD TOUR 2023
On the night of November 20th, 2023, the Danish-Norwegian Europop group Aqua took the stage at The Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona.
The band’s debut album Aquarium released in March 1997 featured their mega-hit “Barbie Girl”. Personally, the entire album was really good, and I could not stop listening to the album and hoped the band would play most of the album tonight. It was nice to see parents bring their kids to the show, and them enjoying the show together.
The band finally took the stage at around 9 P.M. and they opened their set with the song “Cartoon Heroes”, taken from their second album “Aquarius”. Everybody there at the venue was extremely excited to see the band, dance, sing, and have a really good time. The audience was singing along to every single song the band played, and that really put a smile on my face.
Some other notable songs the band played were Calling You, Around The World, Good Morning To Sunshine, My Oh My, Didn’t I, and Bumble Bees.
I was glad to see the entire band members interacting with the audience. Vocalists Lene and René also came down from the stage to participate with the audience. When the band started playing Barbie Girl, the audience went crazy loud. It was really awesome to see everyone sing and dance.
The last few songs played that night were Lollipop (Candyman), Doctor Jones, and Aquarius, and ended the night with Roses Are Red. I was glad and fortunate to have witnessed an Aqua performance. If the band comes near you, please go check out their show. AQUA FOREVER!
